This was the one. I’ve always wanted a ZT0450 ever since finding my grail knife, the ZT0562. I fell in love with ZT and knew this one would be a banger. The problem was that I wanted a carbon fiber show-side scale and titanium opposite, like my 0562. ZT didn’t make one and I didn’t want to mod a knife (too much) with new scales so I just never got one. Well some time passed and I got the itch to go looking around at some pokey fidgeting devices and this beauty popped up. The blue carbon is real nice and the titanium is very titaniumy. Kaviso had this knife in stock and at $50 cheaper than any of the other competitors. It only took me a couple days of thinking up good excuses to tell my wife why I bought a $200 knife that I went ahead and pressed the button. The knife shipped super quickly and I was fidgeting that thing in no time! Beautiful knife and it’s a ZT, so just plain awesome- especially if you are tinkering with it next to some other brands. It just stands out. My one MAJOR negative, which is no secret about the 0450 is that my middle finger naturally wants to sit on the locking section of the scale and makes me almost want to cry when I can’t get it open up. Well, after 50,000 flicks over the last week. I can say it has broken in some, but still contains that hidden kill switch which really does kill your buzz. That being said, I’ve ordered a deep carry clip from Lynch and I think that will do the trick by offsetting some of that pressure where it just don’t belong. Thank you Kaviso and ZT!
