SHIPPING POLICIES:

We offer guaranteed free shipping on all domestic orders over $25.  This will be automatically applied at checkout. All orders placed during the business week will be processed within 1 business day. Smaller items such as knives, gear aid products, etc. may take a full business day to ship. If you place on order on a Saturday or Sunday, your package will ship on Monday. Please allow exceptions for products marked as Pre-Orders. 

DOMESTIC:

We ship to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  This includes P.O. boxes.  All orders will arrive through either FedEx, UPS, or the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Can I get my package sooner?

Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for an additional fee. Expedited orders ship via FedEx Express or UPS.

INTERNATIONAL:

International shipments are available through FedEx and/or USPS depending on your country. At check-out, duties and taxes will be estimated for all USPS shipping methods. FedEx Connect Plus and FedEx International Priority may have the option for both estimated and pre-paid. You may need to expand the shipping options on mobile to see these details. 

Please choose your option carefully and take your time when reviewing international shipping options. Pre-paid duties and taxes will ensure there are no delays in the delivery process. Quoted delivery times assume the customer has pre-paid duties and taxes or their timely payment at time of delivery will not delay the shipment. Kaviso is not responsible for delays due to non-payment of duties and taxes.

The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are imposed once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient (unless customer has selected a pre-paid option for duties and taxes). For Due on Delivery Service Methods Kaviso provides duties and tax estimates at checkout for your convenience. Kaviso provides the most accurate estimates available but is not responsible if the duties and tax estimate differs from provided check-out estimates. 

I selected to pay duties and taxes on delivery. How do I do this?

Your local carrier (Royal Mail, Canada Post, La Poste, etc.) will reach out (typically via email or post card) to collect duties and taxes before the parcel is delivered. Once the shipment leaves the US, most countries allow customers to pay their duties and taxes online using your USPS tracking number. This process can lead to customs and delivery delays if you do not make timely payment. For customers who selected FedEx Connect Plus or FedEx Priority (without pre-payment) will receive an email and/or phone call from FedEx to collect duties and taxes before delivery. 

Why don't I see the duty and tax estimates at check-out?

If using Apple Pay, duties and tax estimates do not display at check-out. To get estimates, select payment through Credit Card or Shop Pay to see estimate and then revert to Apple Pay for final payment. Pre-paid duties/tax options such as FedEx Connect Plus and FedEx Priority with Duties and Taxes Included do display correctly. The omission of the Duties and Tax Estimates is an omission by Apple Pay and not something we can control. 

International Duties & Taxes Included (Pre-paid)  Service Methods:

For FedEx Connect Plus and Priority shipments Kaviso provides the option to collect duties and taxes at the time of check-out and remits these charges directly to customs. The customer will not be charged any additional import duties, VAT, brokerage charges or fees above what has been paid at check-out when selecting the FedEx Connect Plus or Priority shipping option with "Duties and Tax Included". Further, this method guarantees there are no delays in the delivery process as FedEx does not need to wait for the customer to make payment before delivery. If you have a delivery deadline we always recommend selectin a "Duties and Taxes Included" service level. 

Which International Service is quickest?

Shipping times vary by country but may be up to 30-45 days for USPS International First Class Mail, and up to 30 days for USPS International Priority Mail. If you have a trip deadline, we always recommend FedEx to ensure on-time and reliable delivery. FedEx Connect Plus and Priority can be selected with or without pre-paid duties & taxes and is typically the cheapest option. Delivery times are 3-10 days depending on your country.

With USPS, it is not uncommon for 14+ days to pass without any tracking updates. Unfortunately, USPS is unable to provide any additional information not displayed on the tracking page. Please be patient, Kaviso is unable to ship a replacement unless 45+ days have passed (For USPS International shipments). While this may be frustrating, this policy is borne out of experience and nearly 99.9% of packages are eventually delivered.

Please note: USPS First Class International parcels shipping to Canada can occasionally have a different tracking number upon arrival in Canada, once Canada Post takes over the delivery process. Global Post is a recommended  website that allows you to view your full tracking details with any linked tracking numbers. 

What if I don't pick up my item from customs or pay the duties and taxes?

We do not refund original shipping charges for goods that are refused for delivery at customs. Customers are responsible for return shipping on all international returns. Once duties and taxes have been remitted and the order has cleared customs Kaviso is not able to reimburse duties and taxes paid at import and are not able to return these fees if the product is returned. 

Which countries do you offer USPS shipping?

USPS is available in countries which offer USPS delivery confirmation including: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. Countries excluded from this list will be shipped via FedEx.

 

MISSING / STOLEN PACKAGES:

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, Kaviso is no longer responsible for the package. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the safe receipt of their package upon delivery.

In the event that a package is missing or stolen after being marked as delivered, we require the customer to provide a copy of the police report related to the incident. This report will assist us in investigating the matter further and taking appropriate action.

Please note that while filing a police report is a necessary step for us to commence any investigative process, it's important to understand that this action does not guarantee any specific outcome. However, providing us with this information is a prerequisite for Kaviso to initiate any further proceedings such as the potential for a replacement or refund.

This policy is in place to ensure transparency and clarity regarding our responsibilities once a package has been handed over to the designated carrier for delivery.

**Extended shipping windows: For special order knives, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. Special order brands include: Pena, Ferrum Forge, Pro Tech, Bradford, Hoback, and others depending on inventory levels and manufacturer availability.
