The Fox Knives Eastwood Tiger is a large and cool pocket knife, designed by Dutch designer Gudy van Poppel. For years Gudy has been producing amazing fixed knives and pocket knives. His witty logo is on the right side of the blade: a little figure with an L behind it. Pop-L, or Poppel.

Both the handle and blade are large and robust. You immediately feel that this knife is made to be used. It is really clever how the 'flared' handle tapers from thin to wide. As such the knife won't shoot from your hand during use, and you also have enough grip.

This version of the Eastwood Tiger is enhanced with a micarta handle and a D2 steel blade with a stonewashed finish. Micarta offers you a lot of grip and D2 steel is very tough and retains its sharpness well. Very long even! Do, however, clean it after peeling an apple: D2 is not completely stainless. You open the pocket knife with the flipper. With the flipper the blade quickly opens and is locked by a liner lock.

You can clearly tell that Fox Knives and Gudy van Poppel paid a lot of attention to the details. The flipper is nicely rounded to prevent sharp edges. The artistic pocket clip follows the shape of the handle, just like the backspacer.
