Our most anticipated collaboration yet, the Kaviso x Sharp By Design Mini Tempest is now in production. Based on a combination of poll results from The Drawing Board and expert guidance from Brian Nadeau, this lineup is sure to impress even the most snobbish knife collectors among us.

We brought the flipper style option to the drawing board to put this key spec in community hands – and the results were nearly an exact 50/50 split (51/49 in favor of flipper tab). It didn’t sit right with us or designer Brian Nadeau to disappoint half of the crowd – so we decided to put both options into production.

For the first time, the Mini Tempest will feature a flipper tab option similar to other SBD models like the Typhoon, while also staying true to it’s roots via the front flipper original. It’s the best of both worlds, and only possible because of your participation. Thanks again for contributing to great knife design.
